FUN FACTS ABOUT KIFF VANDENHEUVEL THAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:
1) VANDENHEUVEL rhymes with "Sand Removal"and is easier to pronounce than you think.
2) I donated a kidney to my dad on June 6,1998 and he is still going strong 28 years later.
3) My favorite cartoon character is Speed Racer.
4) I make marshmallows and make inverted sugar to use instead of corn syrup.
5) I pick out and buy most of my wife's jewelry.
6) I collect 4K UHD, Blu-Ray and vinyl records after we wanted to watch Beauty and the Beast one
night and couldn't find it streaming.
7) I was a job coach for Hope Network, helping differently-abled individuals learn and integrate into work in the private sector, as well as managing a team of those individuals in an industrial production workshop, and worked as a mental health worker on the pre-adolescent and children's units at Pine Rest Christian Hospital.
8) My spirit animal is the grey wolf.
9) My favorite films are as follows: GODZILLA MINUS ONE, SPEED RACER, JAWS, BLADERUNNER, HIGH AND LOW, LAWRENCE OF ARABIA, EMPIRE STRIKES BACK,
LATE SPRING, IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE, and BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA.
10) I am the oldest brother of 5 boys, I'm from Grand Rapids, Michigan, my kid is an artist, and the first film my wife (Cheri Lynne VandenHeuvel) and I saw together was EYES WIDE SHUT.
I am the grandson of two preachers (Rev. Ralph Heynen and Rev. Christian VandenHeuvel) , the son of an artist mother and a father who may be the best listener on the planet. My brothers are teachers, therapists, first responders and scientists.
Those preachers and my mother the artist have passed, but I carry on their legacy of passion and expression and do my best to inspire my fellow travelers through my work, through teaching and coaching, through podcasting, and whatever other opportunities arrive.
